News: TRANSAXpay gains P2PE accreditation

FIS Merchant Payments has received Point to Point Encryption (P2PE) accreditation from the Payments Card Industry Security Standards Council for its TRANSAXpay P2PE application. Having provided its clients with secure, encrypted card data payment processing for over 10 years, FIS can now offer the added benefits that P2PE accreditation brings.

TRANSAXpay encrypts customer card data from the PIN entry device and the information is routed to the FIS Payment Gateway, a PCI DSS Level 1-certified environment, for authorisation, settlement and financial reporting. A P2PE certified solution can reduce the scope and cost of a retailer’s PCI compliance audit requirements.

“We are delighted to be able to offer UK retailers a P2PE accredited application. This is a major achievement which will add to the already significant demand for our TRANSAXpay service” said Simon Dickinson, Managing Director at FIS Retail Solutions. “This milestone signifies the FIS commitment to providing leading payment acceptance solutions that help retailers to minimise the risk of data loss, whilst improving their customer experience”.

TRANSAXpay provides multichannel retailers with payment processing solutions that include card data encryption and tokenisation services, reduced queue times and enhanced card data security. FIS’ development and implementation expertise, combined with its high availability technical infrastructure, ensure that retailers that use TRANSAXpay can offer fast, reliable and secure processing to their paying customers – whether by card or using alternative payment methods.
