How we have evolved…

FIS was founded in 1968 as Systematics™ and, through its core processing system of the same name, quickly became a globally recognised provider of technology solutions for financial institutions. The group has evolved into a world-renowned financial and payment services technology leader through both organic growth and acquisition.

We have provided payment solutions in the UK since 1986; mainland Europe and Ireland since 1991. We were part of the payments division of Equifax Inc. and later, Certegy Inc. Following the merger between Certegy and Fidelity National Information Services in 2006, the group became known as FIS and holds leadership positions in payment processing and banking solutions.

FIS Payments in the UK, Ireland and France, is part of the payment solutions division of FIS, with offices in Birmingham, Watford, Glasgow and Paris. We employ over 300 payment specialists, develop and maintain our I.T. infrastructure and provide excellent customer support from teams based at all our offices.

We take a great deal of pride in our capabilities, our achievements and our service availability to FIS Payments’ clients (>99.99% in the last year). All of this results in a growing client list and an enviable reputation within the payments industry.
